Christianity was a religion of healing. Christians functioned as healers and Jesus was described as the great physicians. Most of the miracles he performed were about healing.
In Mark 2:5-12, Jesus healed the palsied man at Capernaum. In John 10:20, he healed a man as possessed by a demon. In Matthew 9:32, he restored the speech of a dumb man by casting out a demon that possessed him. In Mark 9:17, He healed a dump and deaf boy by casting out the spirit that was causing his condition. In Luke 4:39, Jesus addresses the fever demon and verses 13:11, he cures a girl who is possessed by a spirit of sickness.
